6300 and ck-7w

I have just upgraded to a 6300 and now also need to upgrade the car kit from the old cark-126. I know that the ck7w is the kit to buy but I want to be certain after reading the posts on this site.
Q1: Is the hfu-5 unit compatible with the hfu-4 wiring, i.e. will the power supply already used connect straight in?
Q2: Does the THB bury holder connect to the ck-7w?

I don't like the look of the cr-82 holder, it looks cheap.
My phone has v5.5 software so hopefully some issues are already resolved. Has anyone any other suggestions?
Thanks
Andy

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

The thb bury holder will not connect to the ck-7w, you are better of buying a full thb bury kit, get the non bluetooth cradle it is a better solution than the ck-7w.

How would the none bluetooth cradle connect, the 6300 has no pop-port?

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

THB Bury do two cradles for the 6300, one has just a charging pin at the bottom and transfers audio via bluetooth, the other has a charging pin & a headphone plug at the bottom for audio connection. Both cradles act as a headset profile & not in-car profile, so it will not turn off keygaurd and constantly light up when in cradle. Out of the two cradles the non bluetooth one works best. I fit lots and lots of THB Bury stuff.

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

I have upgraded my 6210i to a 6300.i have a full nokia car kit fitted for the 6210 radio mute plays thru speakers ect.
Can i just replace the cradle to suit the 6300, would any part of the existing car kit be compatable with the 6300 or is it start from scratch. I would prefer not to use head sets.I am new to this stuff so any advice would be greatfully received.

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

If your car kit is a CK-7W then you can connect the 6300 over Bluetooth and simply remove/not use the cradle.

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

The phone holder/car kit for the 6210 was a cark-91, there is no way of changing this to accomodate your new 6300. Your only option is a new car kit, Nokia only do a bluetooth kit, or THB Bury do a full car kit with charging cradle.

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

If you mean the parrot ck-3100 then it is a very good car kit and works perfectly with the 6300, i have installed lots of these with no problems.

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

Well, than maybe you can help me. I have the 6300 and the CK3100, but I cannot hear the people I'm talking to because the sound is just too low, eventhough the volume levels of the phone, parrot and car all are on maximum. Do you know what's wrong?

thanks in advance!

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

When you turn the wheel on the parrot the menu is spoken, i.e. "phone book", "call register", etc, is this volume loud or is it just when you are on a call?. Try removing the battery from your phone and remove the pairing from the phone and kit, then start a fresh, this may just need resetting. What type of car is it fitted to and where dose the sound come from.

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

Hehe, I didn't even notice the menu was spoken :smileyhappy:Maybe it's to low to hear.
The Parrot is linked to the radio of my VW Golf V, but I'm thinking it's an installation issue, as it has the same problem with the 6131 from my girlfriend.
Thanks for the tip in advance. I'll try it when I leave from work tonight.
Do you think it might help updating the parrot firmware?

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

Updating the firmware will not make a difference. its sounds like one of the wires comming out of the blue parrot box may have broken off the terminal, the wires are very thin and sometimes when the box is shoved behind the dash one of these wires will break if caught on something, i have seen this before.

Re: 6300 and ck-7w

Once again thanks for your reply. I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner.
I upgraded the firmware, and, believe it or not, it worked!!! I almost got deaf (as I had turned up all volume controls in advance).
Unfortunately, the next morning when I started my car again, it didn't work anymore...
