Hi ! Thanks for that explaination but I think I will check it in for an assessment anyway. .... I do have other complaints about the 701 ,hope someone from Nokia can shed some light, not sure if I can air them here but here goes . 1. The Loudspeaker is NOT loud enough, Why have 2 speaker grilles at the back if u only gonna fit 1 speaker, When u use the phone in the car , You can bearly hear the caller when the loud speaker is on . Don't call it a loudspeaker if is its not gonna be loud . Also u can bearly hear the phone ring if its in your pocket. This is because the clothing covers the grille and the sound is muffled. The loud speakerS should be fitted on the top edge of the phone where the current usb socket is . This way it will throw out the sound much better. 2. Excessive amount of heat is generated when the screen is lit up for a few minutes, this can be felt at back of the phone ( the aluminium cover here doesn't serve much of a heat sink ).
3. Sim card can be easily removed but u need to remove the battery to get to the memory card. This is most stupid !! This should be the other way around . ( Who designs these things ? !!!) 4. BRIGHT led on when charging. ( when u awake during sleep and open your eye for a moment you think u have left the bedside lamp on !!) The led should be dull. 5.When u open the contact list and tap on a contact , u would expect it to dial out immediately , instead it shows u the option to make a voice call, message or video call .It should only give u these options if u tap and hold on a contact ! ( it should only open this field if different numbers are assigned to the same contact) This is a waste of time when u want to dial someone ! 6.Notes - when create a note , it stores it with the current date however if u review it a few days later and close it , it the stores it with the date the note was reviewed.( This is useless to me !) I should be able to view the date I created the note instead!......
.... anyway thats just a few complaints and suggestions for the people at Nokia to think about , I have more but will add them the some other time .
