Who is managing the supply of accessories?

Regarding Lumia 920:

Just point me to a shop for the CC-1043 covers (on stock) in Europe ... so I can order some ...?

Been waiting now 2 months for a wireless DT-900 charger I orded.

Some days later I orded a CC-1043 cover for the phone in a color.

The shop keeps delaying the stuff - first from december until jan 10th - now to feb 1st - and then april? ...

Nobody has it on stock? But same thing with other online shops ...  even in Germany, even in the USA, even Amazon.

Except, I did manage to buy a CC-1043 black cover from some shop named Spareparts located on a smaller island in Denmark that had 1-3 in stock for some reason while any other shops including the major ones ... you could only do a reservation. Kind of strange that those covers managed to reach a small shop on an island and not Amazons central warehouse )

Now some shops have started to advertise it as out of stock.

So when will it be possible to buy accessories in Europe? Can you buy them in the USA?

I've been told it will be towards the end of this month when they go on general release.

As for the DT-900 stock has been pretty limited everywhere due to all the free charger promotions going on in various countries.

Unfortunately there isn't really anything that this forum can do to help you, it's just an annoying case of waiting and checking. You may want to contact the Nokia care line in your country as they may have more specific information.

So the CC-1043 from your understanding has not been released yet?

All the e-catalogues tells a different story - that this product has been released and there are supply problems.

So Nokia should try and control that. I.e. Microsoft did not start selling Windows 8 in July. Anyway it's still a 2 month gap. But may be that is how Nokia is trying to close the gap ... by promoting, taking orders while having supply problems for some reason. No a good one ...

But great if the end of month can be counted on. The info on DT-900 says the same thing BTW. The end of this month.

Hopefully Nokia checked with all the vendors to see if they can meet that day.

It's anoying with all the advertising and campaigning- and products are not ready yet. "You feel the wait more ... then better to just place orders from around feb 1st on accessories". (may be another reason ... Nokia needed to check demand ... and then get the stuff produced?)

Anyway worth waiting for. Got the CC-1043 in Black. And the quality is very good.

The worst is the not original equipment - i.e. screen protectors. Whish Nokia would do one to, that would fit the phone better.

They do seem to be having supply issue with accessories, it annoyed me when they were constantly talking about the Lumia 820's coloured backs like you could go out and buy them.

Hopefully they'll sort out the issues soon.
