What is the energy consumption of the Nokia DT-900 charging plate when it is connected to electricity but no phone is placed on it?

From the article stated here, apparently it is 30mW: http://allaboutwindowsphone.com/reviews/item/16378_Nokia_Lumia_820_review.php , which is very, very low. So you wouldn't have to worry one bit about leaving it turned on throughout the day.
