Hello. I have  Nokia Asha 300. Recently it had restarted. Now I can‘t open Media player (‘‘unable to open player“), I can‘t go to the Internet (‘‘invalid web settings‘‘), I haven‘t got calculator and so on. What should I do? I‘ve reset the factory settings (but I haven‘t do backup before it..), but the problem is still here. What else I can do? Thanks a lot.

Hi Grafituka,

 

Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!

 

There are a few things you could try to resolve the issue, but first we recommend you to make a full backup of your phone with Nokia Suite.

 

Hard reset your phone by dialling *#7370#, when prompted for the security code, default code is 12345. This will remove all settings and data from your device, so doing a back up before this is strongly recommended. Restore your backup after the reset and re-install your applications.

 

If you still cannot access the applications, try to update your phone software with Nokia Suite. 

 

If the problem persists, we would recommend that you contact Nokia support or visit the nearest Nokia Care Point, you can find contact details here.

I'm so sad, cause I confronted with a problem from the first step - when I tried to make a backup with Nokia Suite, it said that ,,Something's gone wrong"..

Also, I couldn't update my phone software. (,,There was a problem with Nokia Suite, error code 12017",   ,,couldn't install this file",   ,,Ovi Suite/PC Suite does not support the connected phone. Ovi Suite settings file is missing from the phone", etc.)
The also magic code *#7370#  didn't help.:smileysad:
Anyway, very grateful for your advices.

You can try this one, it may or may not be helpful.
Remove the battery from your phone and insert it after 2-3hrs and switch the phone on then in to settings, restore factory settings and select restore all and if failed again remove the battery and try again once you have succeeded connect it to nokia suite and reinstall your software or install the latest firmware for your phone he it is available
