My asha 305 express browser s not working.this happened after i gave my mobile to Nokia care for service as my mobile became slow processing.my Nokia store also went to an older version. How can i update it.please help me

Care service point managed to break your browser? Sounds interesting...

 

The easiest solution would be to get the device refurbished/reflashed at a Care Service point (assuming it's done correctly).

 

The other option you can try is to install e.g. Opera mini or UC browser to your phone (you can do that with Nokia Suite on your PC of via Nokia Store client on your phone, even if Xpress Browser is not working). After that alternative browser is installed, navigate to download.browser.ovi.com through it and try to reinstall the Xpress Browser from there.

Hi and others,

 

I have been asked to update the Nokia Internet Browser on my Asha 305 when I first used the browser. After following the instructions, I just can't enter the browser anymore. The touch button is not working at all. I tried resetting everything to original factory settings. The software was updated to V05.92 long before using the browser.

 

Can you please help on what I could do myself, before hitting the nearest Nokia Care? I did not like the Opera browser.

Edit: Let me try your second suggestion of installing an Opera and then downloading the Xpress Browser. Going through the site from my PC, I was warned that the 'Nokia Browser - New & Improved' does not match the Asha 305 and the download link was disabled.

Update: Thanks much armagon, the second suggestion worked.:thumbsup: Now my question seems silly, without trying out your suggestion :smileyembarrassed:

 

Now the 'Internet' and 'Nokia Xpress' buttons both take us to the same browser.
