Hello all,

There is a problem in asha 311 regarding the large size(3MB) images.

1.It cant rotate the images or resize the images.(or takes toooo long time and strucks there)

2.when we put an image of larger size as wall paper it does'nt show immediately(try yourself you will notice it)(you will find an BUSY symbol on lock screen)

3.The phone's mail app is not showing the notifications though the alerts are set for 24hours(mobile data is always ON)(the firmware was re-installed 10 days back).

While editting the image

Insert image option is also missing which is avaiable in prebious version of S40.

Please add it in the next update..

Can you gve a link for image of size 3mb

as i am not able to find it any whre..

Well i haven't downloaded that image.That image was taken with cyber shot.So definitely the clarity is more and also size toooo.If you have a digital camera then take a photo and move it to phone using pc suite and try it.

You can resize the images using either format factory or Paint.net. Search the web and download them.

Thank you for the advice.But here i am referring to the inbuilt capability of the phone ! 

(I can resize image on my pc and transfer to the phone also !)

Well it must have worked for any image of any size though. Hope a software update would fix it.

Also know that applying larger resolution image to small resolution screen consumes more battery.
