Will nokia asha 311 support multitasking

Asha 311 is a Series 40 phone, so there is no multitasking in the sense as for example Symbian phones had. So any of the normal applications will not be able to run in the background. There are however a few specific apps for the device (that are created with close cooperation with Nokia), Whatsapp in particular, that are able to run in the background.

Within the Calculator application..do you get OPTIONS ..and then Scientific Calculator  ? If so, select that and you should get the % ..

Yes i just bought it last 2 weeks at $RM300 (Retail $RM419) with free $RM20 KFC voucher,

trade in my old nokia C3 for $RM100.

Speed very fast 1 ghz. No complain at all with this kind of price. One think i don't like is camera touch capture

button. Take quite long to capture image. C3 capture faster.

Within the calculator app. i could not find any options. Emmm nokia engineers must be left out the %.

Nokia asha 311 does not support wi-fi eduroam, will the next upgrade will support?

no there is no % function in 311. you have to do it manually

Nokia Asha 311 problems

1. I found signal drop, when I inserted my SIM. It is not showing signal & some times it is dropping the signal.

2. Camera sound off option is not there.

3. If I want to insert any contact name or number in text message. Not possible.

4. If you press end button 'call is ending'  even it has locked for child protection. When you lock the phone during the call , It should not be end the call even if you press the end button. 

Pls update the above problems in next SW version.

We always hope that Nokia will provide the best product.

hi...can anyone help me..when i plug in my handsfree on my asha 311, it shows something like 'memory card' symbol  instead of headphone symbol..and i couldn't hear any music, but when i plug it to other phone, its works normally..

Welcome to the Forum.

In order to solve your issue, could you try to perform a soft reset on your phone?  Type *#7780# on your keypad, "12345" the default code if needed.

an update came to my nokia asha 311  web browser to download a 2.2.0 browser and i had got an old 2.0 browser . i allowed it to update my nokia browser to a newer version!! As it finish updating The phone restarted and then Nokia browser didn't worked I have bought this Nokia Asha 311, 2 days ago and am disappointed And even the warranty has not been started yet and the problems have started :/
