I recently -16.02.2013 - purchased a Asha 311 at Coimbatore. The phone is good. but the battery lasts hardly for 1/2 a day. My phone's internet connection will be open always. I talk hardly for 30 minutes. I use only net a bit more. I gave the phoe to Nokia care near by who replaced the charger. That has not solved the problem. In Coimbatore they gave one more battery which when replaced, again comes for 1/2 a day only. I curse myself for having bought this phone. Can somebody inorm me how to go to consumer court. In spite of lodging a complaint online, the Nokia does not respong with replacement. Is there any consultant specialised in consumer affairs? I don't mind loosing money more than the amount I spent for the phone. The customer care executives do not bother to retain the good name of Nokia. One more thing also I would like to add. The phone is a fantastic piece. I very much like it

The the Battery stabilises after a few (8-10) recharges, but the life you get at the start seems quite low..
BTW, why do you need to keep Internet ON (My phone's internet connection will be open always...) ? That MAY be the real cause ...

Thank you for the reply.
Every time we have to open connectivity, switch on and off the mobile data. But even with internet off, for the whole day, there was this battery problem Nokia care does not seem to worry about customers

@ddhandapani :
Use it for few more days and check if the problem persists ! Most probably "NO".Battery backup increases,I use my phone(asha 311) with always internet "ON"(with running background apps like whatsapp,twitter,mail,inbuilt browser when required).It is giving a battery back up of 1 and 1/2 day and above but "NOT LESS".
So better give a try.If no improvement in battery life u can ask for an DEVICE REPLACEMENT in nokia care.
