Bluetooth confusion with 5130 & 6303i

I have to say that I'm an engineer and confused with Instruction Manual or perhaps that's why.

My wife has 7900 Prism which cannot find our new handsfree headset BH-609 propably due to incompliant bluetooth version. Phone use 2.0 and BH-609 requires 2.1+EDR

Well, 7900 is already old and dropped many times and need to buy new Nokia, perhaps 5130 or 6303i.

It says in Nokia own pages that 5130 Music Express use Bluetooth 2.0 but still offers handsfree headset BH-609 which requires BT 2.1 + EDR. ????

It says in Nokia own pages that 6303i use Bluetooth 2.1 and does not offer handsfree headset BH-609.

Is there any way to confirm these?

Re: Bluetooth confusion with 5130 & 6303i

I doubt the bluetoothversion is the reason for the two not connecting. I base this on the fact that I have not failed to connect any two phones via bluetooth no matter how old or new they are.

I think it's safe to trust what Nokia says about the accessories that each phone supports.
