Hi, if anyone knows where i can download a new zealand map for my 6110 gps phone i would really appreciate it... because i cant ifnd one anywhere.

also When you try and zoom in on it on the phone it says its not available and go to the store, when you get to the store its not on there.

Hi

The Maploader in the link above wont work with the 6110. it has it own software call map manager. 6110 maps come from Route66. Unfortunately they charge for their maps, and they wont have all the maps. This may be due to regional legislation. They may not have permission to sell the map.

This is what I found on the 6110 product page under Build-in Navigation section:

"Additional location-based services and content may be purchased from ROUTE 66 Geographic Information Systems B.V. Availability of these services depends on the country, operator, and regulations."

Untrue - I downloaded the Nokia Map software and maps (http://www.smart2go.com) to my 6110 Navigator and I have not only an Australian map, but a NZ map.

Be warned though, the Australian map has inceredible detail, whereas the NZ map has very little detail and most streets are not named (eg in Remuera where I used to live, the only named streets are Market Road and Manakau Road - Remuera Road which is a MAIN road is just not named at all!).

Here is the New Zealand Map I have downloaded to my Navigator 6110-> New Zealand Map

Its not the simple filename.map file like those that u can download from route 66, but it still works. I think u may have to use install Nokia Maps on yur 6110 first, use it at least once (and download like a minimal of data using in built net connections), after this it will have set up the file structure necessary and you should find if yur 6110 is connected in 'Data Transfer' mode (make sure u kill PC Suite first cos it wont let yur phone go into harddrive mode which is needed to view the hidden system file)

Unrar and once u see in "My Computer" the removable disc which is yur phone, open it up and place these filese as they appear hierarchal from root drive.

Let us know how u go.

Also- anyone from NZ have the nice ' nz.map' file come pre-loaded like we have with our 6110 here in oz? Care to share, up it on megaupload and post linkage. cheers muchly.

Hi there!
I managed to download the map through nokia maps.
Still when I go in extra services to pay for the guidance, new zealand is not proposed.
So I have the map (I can find cities and so on) but cannot use navigation

Any suggestions?

i have download to my 6110 and place those files as they appear hierarchal from root drive. but it don't work. Could u please tell we how to choose this map from phone?
