Aren't you a bit too harsh with your title? 99% of people buying cheap S40 smartphone don't care much about the two features you described. But in any case, mail for exchange can be downloaded from Nokia/Ovi store (http://store.ovi.com/content/5919?clickSource=sear

Hello!
I have bought the Nokia Asha 302 and I'm disappointed too, that there is no Mail for Exchange, as Nokia is promoting this phone with this feature. Will there be soon a software update for this phone? I hope somebody from Nokia can answer.

The Ovi store clearly states that Asha 303 is NOT compatible with the current version of Mail for Exchange, despite Nokia's annoucement on their website.
EAP/PEAP becomes one of the most popular way for schools to secur their campus wifi. For example, most schools in the eduroam program (www.eduroam.org) use it. Without the support of EAP/PEAP, you would not be able to use wifi in campus. I beleive Nokia loses a lot of potential student customers because of this.

Can anybody affiliated to Nokia please answer? It just can't be true that the main feature of this phone doesn't even exist at the moment.

Hi all,
The Mail for Exchange client for Asha 302 and 303 will be available at no additional cost in the Nokia Store the second quarter of 2012.

Thanks for the answers! But is there maybe a more precise date than the second quarter? I mean the Exchange client already exists since a few weeks (demonstration of Nokia employees on videos).

Nokia announced at the recent Mobile World Congress that Mail for Exchange would be available for the Asha 302 and 303 models. The new version of the app for these Series 40 devices is not yet available, which is why it cannot be seen in the Nokia Store. At present it is not possible to give a date for the launch.

Is there anything new about the Mail for Exchange-Client for the Asha 302?

Finally there is at least a Beta-version of the Exchange-client available: http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/mail-for-exchange-f

Is there any development regarding the support of EAP/PEAP wifi security types?

I was initially impressed by ads and appearance of the Asha 303. I don't use too much of the Wifi features of the Phone that's why the discussions on the MS Exchange are not compelling. However there are several items I'm disappointed in. As a background, I previously had an Nokia 5800 (great phone).
1. The search feature in the Phonebook will only search using first names or last names depending upon the display setting e.g. first name first or last name first. Very cumbersome to shift from last name to first name basis especially for the fact that the phone takes several minutes to reset the phone book (this is a bummer) and you can't use it during this time.
2. It does not have the search feature of the 5800 where the phone will search the whole phone for a given key word or phrase. Moving the cursor around the screen during text message is only from left to right. If you need to move up lines, its a bit cumbersome as where you touch your finger on the screen does not necessarily cause the cursor to move there. Its a question of accuracy of cursor placement. There are no key board keys for up down or left right.
3. Deleting from the phone book is done one at a time instead of displaying the phone book and you just mark the names you wish to delete.
Thanks.

hi im using this phone and at first it was cool but after few months it started to get me annoying about problems in 3.5g or H which is coming out when your connecting to the internet. Using the opera mini i surf the net by free and so as the social app and emails. After few days i cant connect to the internet im a globe subscriber. i try to fix and change my sim but the problems still occurs. Also with the touchscreen when i scroll down and up it clicks on its own. Also with the Software updates after i update my software and restart I cant even use some other personal app that are installed to nokia asha 303, like email and social... what a big disappointment for nokia.. i expect more to this phone.. I should think twice before buying this phone.. try to fix this... !!

Hi ,
I have purchased nokia asha 303 a month back. The most disappointing feature of this mobile is that when i am trying to connect to office corperate network it throws error message: Cannot use Network. Unsupported security type. Please help me out to troubleshoot the problem because for an end user/customer this error message will make really unhappy. I have read the thread regarding this error message. You have mentioned that on the 2nd quarter of 2012 the feaure would be available on new series of phones. But ehat about the one which i am already using ? How can i incorperate this feature to my phone now?
Please answer!!!
thanks,

I'd like to know if there is some improvements coming to this issue. Maybe we need to kick this asha models out from our lists due lack of EAP/PEAP features and therefore useless machines with eduroam.

Add my name to the list of extremely disaapointed and frustrated Nokia 303 users!!!!
I have a host of problems with the phone and the worst among the lot is the inability to turn off GPRS/3G...
Using a pre-paid sim in this phone is serious pain... Every 5 minutes 24/7 I will get a service message on my usage and I don't have any control over it.. what an innovation by Nokia!! Hats off.
I think Nokia has a tie-up with service providers to empty our pockets and sleep.
Note: The issue is after enabling whatsapp and please don't reply suggesting to uninstall whatsapp.
