well the thing is that i have this phone from a friend .. the phone is from spain thus coded to that network. But that is not the problem .. when i was browsing in the settings menu at the display submenu (to remove ugly quick menu on top of the wallpaper) my phone shut down. i did re opened it .. well it ask's me "Start up phone without SIM card?" i accept the nokia image comes up then it restarts it self for 4 times and it shuts down .. what can i do ? Is it a software problem or a hardware problem ?
I have just bought this phone and experienced the same problem. I suspect it is a firmware issue, but as I cannot longer reset the phone I cannot check. I am taking it to a shop to see what they do. Would appreciate a Nokia response! Anton
These boards are for user to user troubleshooting. If you would like to get a response from Nokia, you will need to contact them directly either by phone or email. You can use the contact us link at the top of the page to get started.
Unfortunately, I am abroad at the moment and cannot contact Nokia directly. Besides all I will get in response is - send it back for a firmware reset... But I would like to know if it was a firmware issue! To rectify it, as I shall have to do it myself whilst abroad. Surely others had this problem at some point and Nokia may know about his issue and just say - yes it is a firmware?!
