I have the phone for 2 weeks now. The browser worked fine and suddenly it will not start anymore.

When I click from the menu Web / Browser nothing happens at all.

I already returned to factory default setting (keeping personal data) and that did not help.

The phone is running software V07.80 dd 18/08/2009 RM-56

Any advise ?

I'm also facing exactly the same problem. Opera mini browser, though worked fine earlier, it stopped working now , like yours. However the internet conectivity may be achieved in a PC by PC suite.

Have you approached any care centre, if yes , what was the out come.

pls respond.

Also anybody  having imformation on the matter please reply.

Hi. I see you have 2700 like me, and i have some other problem, that nobody could help me in my thread. I can't see if I miss a call on my phone screen. When I miss a call, my screen stands black and there isn't any indication. I had 6500 and there was a gray line standing on the screen when i miss a call, and i want any kind of notification, but i can't set.

Hi, the browser problem could be solved partly. While the browser under menu/internet/Browser  couldn't still be repaired,  I was able to install opera mini 5 beta ( advanced version of  4.2 version)and brows internet as before. You could try the following steps : 

1.Install 'Nokia PC Suite 7' in your PC and configure it for your nokia 2700 classic phone. 

2. visit the site http://www.opera.com/mini/next/download/   

3. see the option ‘For Java-enabled phones’

4.click on the 2nd option i.e. Opera Mini 5 beta for J2ME JAR  ( Mind don’t download .JAD)

5. save the file in your desktop.

6. connect your phone with your PC by one USB cable.

7. open PC suite

8.click on the icon ‘install application’

9.a window headed ‘ Nokia Appliaction Installer’ will be opened.

10. on the right i.e. My Phone side , select nokia 2700 classic ( C; Phone memory).on the left i.e My computer side , select desktop then  select ‘opera mini 5.0’ and then

11. Press →

12. save ( if required)

13.Open your phone  menu>Apps>Memory Card>opera mini>option>move

14. move to ‘Games’

15.Now under Games , you will find opera mini , which you can open and use for browsing internet. The version is ‘Opera Mini 5 Beta’. As for the miss call alerts , I think it is service provider dependent.

hello sir, my self suresh bhati . at this time i am using nokia 2700 classic.and am doing connecting net by nokia 2700classic to pc eassily. but sir my nokia 2700 classic opera mini browser is not opening. and not giving any responce he is assitize. please help me reinstall opera mini in my nokia 2700classic.   i do many try  1. i done install opera mini by www,operamini.com but  browser is not giving any responce. 2. i done restore all setting my nokia 2700 classic but not giving any responce. and i done many try to opening opera mini but browser is not responce this is assitiz. please help me fast my email address is suresh ****

         The browser problem can be solved easily dont worry. I do hav the same problem and now its working fine. k coming to the solution, the problem might be due to error or corruption in phone's inbuilt software so that has to be replaced. just take your mobile to nearest NOKIA CARE CENTRE to reinstall the software. before tat save all your things in the memorycard and simcard. just try it , it really works. if your mobile into warrenty period its absolutely free. I dont pay even a paise. Thanks to NOKIA............

Can anybody tell that how one can use its default browser (not Opera Mini). Coz I am unable to use Opera Mini. All other applications are working fine like OVI store, AccuWeather webservice.

hi every one... here is my NOKIA 2720(FOLD) ..this phone has two displays i.e., front and main display.. and it's a folder model from nokia... i have folllowing problems.....

1)  Front display  got damage( pls tell me the repairing expenses in indian rupees)

2)  Folder strip got damaged ( pls tell me the repairing expenses in indian rupees)

                              so,please tell me the expenses for reparing/replacing the damaged particle...i also included attachment along with this message which contains damaged area image  of the phone.

@nabilpk: u can't use any other browser as default. It depends on manual running.

@jo3y: yes, u need internet connection and hence the settings.

@Timty: when u go to download opera, click 'other download options' and after that below the page u'l see certificates download link. Click and download the opera following the link. Use wap browser of ur phone. Or just go to music player>downloads>go to address> and type http://m.opera.com

Timy don't spend your money in customer cares and any other shop.I have been faced this problem.now come on solution.A software named "oxycube" just download it fullversion or not full version it is not matter.then open the software and connect your phone with USB.then your phone memory and memory card shown in the software select c:/ then goto hidden folder-authority certificate,you need another phone same brand just copy its certificate in your pc.after that connect you phone and go to same folder and copy and paste the certificate.then your error does not come.if you need any help then only sms me with ur name my contact no.*****

kudo in your mobile go to menu,setting,confri..,personal setting,option,add,bearrer setting,access point name,and your sim name (like bsnl, airtel)net (like bsnlnet) then save this in defalt setting and then go to menu,apps,games,nokia.mobi and download opera mini and after downloading install it and enjoy opera mini
