Nokia 6131 phonebook problem

Hello !

I've tried recently to move back on my old phone, Nokia 6131. After i've synced contacts, i've got strange behaivior.

I've got contacts written on english and on russian. When I'm entering Namesfrom menu, english ones are ok, but russian contacts displays as only first 5 symbols and then "...". When I enter contact - it displayes everything normal. I've searched through settings to find something - but helpless.

Any suggestions ?

Best regards

Dmitry

Re: Nokia 6131 phonebook problem

Hi Submaster,

Welcome to Nokia Discussions.

Depending on what region the phone is produced for, your device is either installed with English writing (or any other language that uses the English alphabet) or another language like, for example, Russion writing. The phone is not designed to support both and doing so can therefore cause some issues within the phone's software.

I would suggest to visit a Nokia Care Point where you can have a look at your options with one of our Nokia specialitsts, perhaps installing Russian as your main language could be a solution.

Hope this clears things up.
