00923007947606, because the Nokia Asha 501 has the new Asha Software Platform built from the ground up, your trick for a Nokia 210 does not work here. My PC Suite detects the Nokia Asha 501 in mode ‘Modem’ but cannot exchange any data.

how can you cancel the USB mode?
With a Nokia Asha 501 you cannot cancel.
(Even with an old Series 40, you do not cancel the USB mode, cancel just cancels the menu. Actually, the last used USB mode was activated before the question is shown on the screen of your phone).
why I cant connect 501 to my Laptop. In Device Manager, it says "No driver is installed". What can I do? what driver for 501 on PC??
Nokia suite 7.1.X is not suitable for Nokia Asha 501. It can however be connected to a PC using a USB Cable and can transfer data from the mobile phone to PC and vice versa. Nokia suite looks to me as a useless one if you own a Asha 501. It is just a good mobile phone for making and receiving calls and you can also access internet using a WiFi in moderation. For $100, it is a good mobile phone, small enough to carry in your pocket.

Recent […] Series 40 devices, like Nokia 206, Nokia 301, and Nokia 210 [are] not compatible with Nokia Suite.
Those work with the Nokia PC Suite 7 and an older version of the Nokia Suite. I summed-up the alternatives …
Nevertheless, those do not work with the Nokia Asha 501. We are still waiting for a trick.
Its a good looking piece of **bleep** . They are showing their marketing strategy in releasing the UPDATE ?
The worst of worst Nokia.
