My first time on here; I hope someone more technically-literate than I am can help me.

I have just bought a new USB data cable so that I can move photos from my Nokia Asha 201 to my laptop, and I am having problems.  When I insert the data cable into the phone, the screen offers me Nokia Suite, Media Transfer, or Mass Storage. I choose Nokia Suite and nothing happens on the phone. On the PC I click onto Nokia Suite and all it gives me is instructions to choose Nokia Suite if asked, then there are no further instructions.  What do I need to do nex, please?

Leave aside the Nokia Suite .. Check whether the phone is getting detected by the PC thru' Windows Explorer or not. If you see the phone, click on it and then browse for the image files you want to 'move' .. select and Copy - Paste them to the desired folder on the PC ...

Hi TallullahRose,

When you connected your phone to your computer, did you check that it was connected in Mass Storage mode? If it is the first time that you have connected the phone, it will start installing drivers for it. Once the driver installation is completed with success, you should see your phone appear in Windows Explorer.
