lauching ovi maps n95 8gb

Hi All, I am in the position where if i try and launch the map application it loads part way and then reverts to the standby screen. I can completey reload the ovi maps and it works again, but only once. The next time i use it the application, it fails to lauch again and so on ad nauseum! any ideas please?
