Hi
My E63 just wont connect via usb!! I have a ca101 cable,pc suite software and ovi suite software and have tried everything i can think of to get the phone to be recognised by the PC (xp sp2)I have taken the memory card out of the phone and tried connecting - no go.I have used earlier versions of PC suite - no go....i have tried installing the software on my laptop and my sons computer - no go i have tried using a different usb cable - no go and i have reset the phone to factory defaults - still no go!
I have tried all the above with my wifes identical e63 - no go
the phone is on 3 network and is only a few weeks old but what i can say is as soon as i plug in the usb cable i get the choice of usb modes i want to use and i have tried them all and i do see a bit of usb activity on the pcs task bar so that tells me that the cable is ok and the pc can see the phone. When i look in device manager/usb controllers i see an entry called unknown device wnen the phone is connected - delving further into the pc suite installation log it says amonst other things:
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
I have been in touch with nokia support twice about this and they have been helpful but unable to resolve the problem
Its highly annoying because i want to transfer a lot of big files and i'm not happy with taken the sd card in and sticking it in a card reader to transfer the data - kinda defeats the object of the exercise as well as putting unneccesary wear and tear on the phone and bluetooth is just not capable of moving large amounts of data (bluetooth bty works perfectly with my phone and Nokia PC Suite)
any help would be greatly appreciated

Uninstall all Nokia related software and drivers with Revo, clean registry with Ccleaner. Reboot. Install one of the suites, not both. Reboot. Start suite and then connect the E63 in PC Suite mode.

I have the same problem. I bought my E63 a couple of days ago from a NOKIA dealer and when I connect it to a computer it is charging the phone up so I believe the USB cable is ok, but I cannot see it as a mass storage device to transfer music to.
I have tried changing the USB connectivity and nothing... Help!!

You can't charge the E63 through USB. Check USB connection settings in connectivity. Look at these specs for your E63-5.
