My serviceas  provider (vodafone) has sent gprs settings to my phone which i have saved already. But automatic configuration doesnt happened. How do i manually configure gprs setting in nokia 5230?

Hi divyaanumod

You may well find that the required access point has ended up in wrong "Destinations" folder. Go to Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Destinations and have a look in "Uncategorised". If it is there you need to move it to "Internet" or "WAP services" folders.

In destination folder there are only four options.

Acces Point ( Add new acess point)

Internet : 1 access point

Multimedia msg:  1 access point

WAP Services :  1 access point

What configuration needs to be changed?

Finally it worked..

I added a new access point for internet, and specified proxy address and port number. Now its working fine. Thank you

Its good to know that you have solved the problem by yourself.
At the same time, it would be good too to let users know that your problem was solved by clicking 'accept as solution'
This doesnt matter even if you click your own post as a solution

Goto menu- settings- configurations- personal config. Setti. . Then select Add new and select the settings categary that you need.
