None of the suggested "fixes" work. The problem is intermittent and appears to be a bug with the firmware. I am using firmware 52.0.007 and had no problem for a week then all of a sudden "invalid server name".
I can connect to the wireless router fine, but sometimes when I try to browse the web I get that error (after a long wait).
Removed access points, re-added etc. and same problem.
Downloaded Opera web browser (when the phone was connecting to Internet) and the same problem happens intermittently with Opera AND the default Nokia browser.
I have had this problem on multiple wireless networks so it's not the modem/router. And other wireless devices connect fine to these networks, so to me that sounds like a problem with this phone.
Frustrating.

Hi Tony.
Thanks for the thread.
I have been kepp on searching many threads on the wifi issue. Finally I got connected by following ur thread.
I tried to setup with DNS and IP but nothing worked out. As simple I deleted the WLAN access point what I created and again freshly I tried with the wifi automatically appeared and started web browsing from that WLAN without doing any setups.

Siva Ji

Hi
I had a similar problem with my N5800 XM.
I fixed it today by removing all manually configured DNS details.
I set it back to AUTOMATIC, and when I tried again, I got my default wap.google.com homepage.
Cheers.

IT REALLY WORKS AND IS TOO DAM SIMPLE.

4.Select yes while it asks for AUTOMATICALLY CHECK FOR AVAILABLE ACCESS POINTS.
5.Select the sutiable WLAN network.
6.Select no IF it asks for CONFIGURE NOW.
7.Go to internet ( IN DESTINATIONS) then select your respective WLAN network.
8.Highloght the WLAN (DATA BEARER) option then go to the ADVANCED SETTINGS.
