Hi,
I got a Nokia Lumia 800 on Sunday, I am on O2 UK prepaid.
I couldn't get the 3G to work, but found settings on a discussion board to manually out the APN in. So now that's working and I see H or 3G at the top of the screen, but the apps, such as facebook, emails, pics over Whatsapp, Twitter etc etc do not work unless I have a good wireless connection...how can i get them to work?
It's a bit frustrating, as there is no point in a smart phone that doesn't do anything smart and there isn't wifi everywhere...
Thanks

Hi JaxUK
Try to manually configure all the access point using the "Network Setup" application. You can download this from Marketplace.
After manually putting all the access point, make sure to put a mark on "Make this as my current APN" then save the changes made.
You may try now to access facebook, emails, pics over Whatsapp, Twitter on your phone.
Hope this will help you my friend ![]()

No need to enter anything, in fact you should not enter anything!
When you open the Network Setup app it will find and install the correct settings by itself, no further action required.
It's one of thise things well documented here and a simple use of the available search function would have provided a direct answer.

I have tried both of these, all solutiond found on the internet, but the applications still don't work.
This really is ridiculous.
BTW: no need to get snippy with me, I'm not an idiot, I of course looked for ways to fix it before I wrote on here.

Hi JaxUK,
The last troubleshooting step would be to reset the phone. Settings> About> More Info> Reset. This process will wipe all the data that is on the phone. Contacts being synchronized with your Microsoft account configured on the phone. Pictures and videos can be synced with your PC using the Zune software. Applications will be deleted however, you can still redownload them at www.windowsphone.com. For your messages, since the phone does not have the ability to synchronize or do a backup file, it will be deleted.
