I am using Nokia C7 along with operator BSNL(CELLONE) 3G SIM. My Nokia C7 is not catching 3G signal,
but when i am using same SIM in anogther Nokia C6-00 its getting full access to 3G network at same place.

I found one difference inbetween Nokia-C6 and Nokia-C7 Network Modes That is  

Nokia C6 having 1.GSM 2.UMTS 3.DUAL but

Nokia C7 having 1.GSM 2.3G 3.DUAL

Whether i can change my Network access mode from 3G to UMTS using any software changes.

What may be the problem with my Nokia C7. Please help me out.

3G or 3.5G and UMTS are the same thing.

Try this, on network setting set first for UMTS or 2.3G not dual.  After getting the signal set it again but this time dual !

Did you try to set it up for 2.3g Only and works ?

Same problem here ...

Nokia C7-00 with mobile vikings account full data plan.

Updated to anna, with all latest patches.

My colleague has the same phone, and is sitting next to me.

My phone has no 3G coverage here, while my colleague's phone does !

Setting is set to dual.

If I switch to 3G, I lose all connectivity.

When I go out in front of the office, sometimes the phione does change to the 3G (3.5) network.

Any ideas ?

I am also having same problem. I can see any 3 G network. even more i can use only limited 2G networks in my phone in India. Can anyone please help ?

I am using Nokia-C7-00 with BSNL 3G sim, but Nokia C7-00 have some problem with 3G. 2G is working properly but when i choose 3G, its looses all connectivity. Sometimes the phone does change to the 3G network in some places. And sometime one unidentified message( Error Message: 34 XX) is showing. And also Vodafone and Aircel Sim does not support Nokia C7-00, i personally checked it. Kindly help me out if somebody have solved the said problem.
