Nokia 700 will not connect to Internet

Help! i have a Nokia 700 which will not connect to the internet via Vodafone sim card - I have data on the card and it works fine in other phones - just not the 700!!! The phone was originally on 02 - was unlocked and the sim from my old Nokia 6212 phone put in its place. (we use the NFC facility) It is working fine for voice calls/texts but will not connect to the internet which is its prime use! Have alreadycarried out a  factory reset to no avail - it will connnect via our own router - but of course once out of range i lose the signal and thus the internet!!! All help gratefully appreciated!!!!

Are the Access Points properly defined ? Contact Vodafone and request them to send the Settings which are normally sent thru' SMS. When you receive the message..open and select SAVE. Now try again ...

You need to install the apn settings for Vodafone. Easiest way is to contact Vodafone and request they send you the settings by sms. This sms should auto configure your phone for you. If they are unable to do this then ask them for the apn settings and instruction on how to set it up. If not then come back here and we will help you set it up.
