Nokia N73 With PC Suite

I have a Nokia N73, and I am running Windows Vista Ultimate.
When I put in the nokia USB cable, it comes up saying non compatible, but when I go to explore the computer, Windows Vista recognises it as an N73 and I can see the memory card and phones memory, so it cant be the cable. It also says that it is in data transfer mode when i go to update the firmware or sync it, is it vista that is doing that?

You will have to change the usb mode settings in your phones connectivity menu to PC suite mode in order to be able to use PC Suite and update the software.

Yeah, tried that. Both automatically selecting PC suite, and listing the options to select it myself.
