I have a nokia n8-00 and before the anna update it used to receive and send files via bluetooth. After the anna update I can only be able to send files via bluetooth to other phones but i am not able to receive or pair with any other device. Whenever i try sending myself a file i.e. music, pictures, notes etc on the other phone it says unable to connect and it just disconnects. My nokia n8-00 bluetooth is set to shown to all in visibility settings and remote Sim to off.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Admittedly using another Nokia device but no such issues since updating to Anna, file is sent to E:\Received files:

I discovered the solution all by myself without looking for it through the internet. The solution was simple. All I did was jst paired the device that I wanted to receive the file from and after pairing I was able to receive files from other phones. I also tried to delete the paired device and try to send myself files but it refused and gave me the "Connection failed. Unable to connect" message but once I paired the device again I was able to receive files once again. I am using Nokia N8-00 by the way.

I tried to do that. And it failed, I can't even backup my data so I can try a new update.

First try to pair your Nokia with the phone that you want to send data to or receive data from. After pairing then try to send data and it will go through. I was unable to receive data from any other phone but after pairing my phone to the phone that I was to receive data, I was able to receive data and I have been using that method upto now. For your information I am using Nokia N8.

iam using toshiba labtop before ihave same problem ican receive file through labtop cannot send by nokia n8 message shows unable to connect i solved this problem by installing bluetooth stack toshiba driver software it working succesfully and n8 is the best phone iseen from nokia it work like pc in hand u can connect usb hdmi and more in one phone thanks for nokia

Currently this post was not meant for laptops, it was meant for phones only. Anyway in laptops you have to install compatible bluetooth drivers and it will work fine. Anyway if you solved it by yourself then it is ok

In my N8 with symbian belle refresh the phones bluetooth is always switching on. When i open nokia maps or camera the bluetooth pops up.
Pls help me out.....
