My laptop running in windows XP ceases tethering with my nokia lumia 820 after 5-10 mins. It occurs everytime I reset my connection.
At the same time, surfing on ie10 in my phone also stops. But whatsapp is still running fun.
Can't load fb, youtube and etc. I'm using internet sharing from my lumia.
Can you tell me what to do because I can't surf the internet with my laptop seamlessly.

I'm going on a hunch here but I think it is worth trying. Uninstall Whatsapp and see what happens.

I would like to ask whether you are using 2G or 3G sim and which service provider?

I am using Airtel GPRS 2G sim right now.

I have also bought 820 recently and I am unable to use internet sharing feature at all. Few of collegues are also facing the same problem.

When i put my sim in lumia 800, it works fine but not in 820.

I have only ever used 3G with it. Why not just try it on 3G and see if it solves the problem.

I tried using a vodafone 2G sim in my 820 device.

Internet sharing feature worked.

with Airtel 2G its still not working. Something seriously wrong between 820 and airtel it seems
