nokia n9 and skype

Experiencing unstable internet connection when using skype for internationsl calls. Call breaking up and sometimes drops right.out.
any suggestions to help. There is no antenna port on phone

How is your network connection? the fluctuating signals maybe cause this to happen.

We were told by provider that we were in a good area , however, the symbol top left hand side, Telstra 3.5, goes frim blue to white which indicates its going offline.
we replaced the sim card replaced yday but still same prob.
we thought some kind of a booster for signal is answer but as there is no port for am antenna wondering what else might.help
