i have a 6500 classic phone and was wondering, how do i turn off 3G?

Go into the phone's network settings. If it's possible to set the phone to GSM only instead of dual mode, that's where it will be.

Note that some operators' branded firmware removes this possibility.

NETWORK MODE

click GSM instead of DUAL MODE  

click SELECT

 

DONE - Hopefully !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
