when I turn on auto update time on my time settings on my nokia c7 phone is making

update but correct time wrongly (1 hour in advance). My country is Bosnia and in settings is shown correctly GMT+2, but why with auto update time on my phone shows time 1 hour in advance. Is it possible that that has something with daylight saving time season which is currently. Without that season Bosnia is GMT+1.??

Did the same happen in the winter before daylight saving season started? I’m just wondering could it be that the network's clock is still in the winter time.

But other phones on the same network show right time

I am not shure... I have checked now with my friends e55, his time is correct, he have said that his e55 had automatically switched on summer time when season started.

But, I checked on his e55 time settings, auto update was off. When he changed to on his e55 clock turn 1 hour in advance, just like my c7.??

Is that mean that it is up to our network provider?

The auto time and update is a network supported feature does your network support it

yes if you did the same with the e55 then its the network clock back for sure . Some phones (not NOKIA ) apply the daylight saving time to the network transmitted time . For example the network transmits 12:20 , then the phone itself adjusts the daylight saving time and displays 13:20 .

Try adjusting the time via the GMT time and leave it overnight and see,i have read that its best to adjust time that way rather than the clock dont know how effective it is though

I have made additional checkings

Time auto update on my son's samsung is working fine

also on my wife's nokia 6300

It looks like just new models of nokia have problem with time auto update option in Bosnia???

I have done as you said, adjasted time with GMT last night manually, and after cca 12 hours

my phone time is slow cca 2 seconds, that means that my phon clock by itself is slow cca 2 minuts per month. So, if there is nno other solution I should practice manually adjastmen 1 or 2 time per month.

... because it is obvious that it is not up to network operator (time auto update work fine on other producers phons and on older nokia models) and because c7 is a serious model of a serious manufacturer, I STILL BELIVE that there should be some fix of of time auto update on c7 and other nokia phones. I wait for it.

So adjusting time by the GMT time settings has kept it on the right hour apart from been slow.?

Maybe I have undersood wrongly, I do not know what you think with GMT time settings, I was manually adjusted time with GMT clock via inernet, and checked 12 hours later and have found

2 sec slow. I do not know where I can adjust my phone GMT time settings. When I select my country (Bosnia) automaticly is shown GMT+2. ??

go to menu then settings then phone then time and date settings

... yes, and there is time zone - countries for select, and when I select Bosnia it is automatically GMT+2. That is all regarding GMT I can find. Maybe I am a little boring but I could find anything about GMT to adjust, beside time (phone clock).

I think that I have found what is the point. In settings/connectivity/Admin. settings/packet data

/packet data connection - it was selected 'when needed', I changed on 'when available' and time auto update now is working fine.

Or I just think that it is fix. For now time update is working fine, but I would like if someone tell me are there some negative conseqvences of selecting data transfer when availabele instead of when needed?

Having packet data set to when needed will allow access for apps such as email.Do you have a data plan.

Sorry, I do not know on what you think with data plan. My emails on c7 working fine with both packet data set when needed and when available. I have no some spetial plan with operator for mobile internet connection or data downloading if you refer on it?

of course it will there is a difference between when needed and when available ,when needed means it will work to the time you have set your email retrieval,when available would be more or less always on.
