I have an 8gb Micro-SD card in my Nokia C1-01.  I had a lot of music on the card and up until a few days ago it was working perfectly.

Yesterday I switched on the phone and it would not recognise the card.  In fact, it said the card needed formatting!

I re-formatted the card and put more music on it and it works fine again now but I do not understand what went wrong.

there could of been a corrupted file on it.

I had problem with my memory card,but not this problem.when i bought c1-01,i used my memory card of my motorola k1.but now i see much folders and files that i dont remember downloading.songs,files with no extensions and al sort of folders.but i cant delete them or send them.i dont want to format my card!!

Can anyone tell me what sort of micro SD card I need to buy for my newly purchased Nokia C1-01. I am thinking of an 8GB as I don't really need anything larger, i just plan on having some music on the phone, not interested in storing photo's , but I'm confused about the 'classes' of card mentioned for sale, class 4, class 10, would very much appreciate some advice as I'm an old fogey and not very 'tech savvy'

A class 4 8gb would be quite sufficient for your needs
