I purchased a C2-02 in Canada last year. Phone worked fine for the week I was there. Since then I have returned to S.A. and I had the phone unlocked from the Chatr Wireless network (Sister company of Rogers in Canada)

I now have inserted a sim from 2 of the 3 mobile operators (Vodacom and MTN) in S.A. and I cannot pick up the network. If I try to manually search for the network I get no networks found. 

I have searched  the discussion forum and cannot find any similar problem which would help.

Is there anyone who has had this kind of problem and had it solved?

i would check if there are any issues with the network carriers you have tried first.

also check that you have the latest firmware for your device installed, by checking via Nokia Suite on your PC. if there are any updates, please update to the latest version offered. if that doesn't work, then you can try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite.

failing that, you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care for inspection: http://nokia.com/support

Hi Adrian

I have contacted the network carriers and confirmed that the phone does work on their networks (They sell packages with the same phone here in S.A.)

Also I have checked that the Firmware is on the version 7.63, which is according to Nokia the latest version (Sorry I didn't mention that in the beginning) 

I will take the phone into a Nokia Care centre and see if they can resolve this. 

I'll post again after doing so and let you know the result.
