Where is the default language defined? I can listen e.g. to the time, but default is UK and I would like to change the language.

Strange, it is a brand new phone. I bought it in Germany, the menu is in German. Which languages are installed by default? I exchanged the micro-SD card to a bigger one. Could it be that I lost important files, because of the sd-card change?

I found out, that we are talking of a different language option. I do NOT mean, the display language. The display language is ok.

Sorry, I don't know the exact names in English. It should be something like Menu / Applications / Language.

All Nokias have English. Those sold in Western Europe would typically include also French, German and Italian, then depending on exactly where in Western Europe they are sold possibly also Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and/or Turkish.

How can I get french as my phone language? I'm living in Finland, but want to use french as my phone language, which is not available in my phone's settings.

I've installed french language pack from nokia care centre, but it is only helpful when I use my phone's dictionary.

Opera mobile 10 can display hindi websites like bbchindi.com. Just make sure you download the 'asian language' edition from opera.com

Download and install Opera MIni 5.1. Goto power user settings by entering config: to the address bar. scroll down the page and set "Use bitmap for complex script" as "Yes". Finally save your settings and goto any web page that uses local language. Most of web pages can be read through this option, that using Unicode character encoding.
