The only way I could get this unbelievably useless phone to work was to format it by doing the hard reset. This finished off all the installed applications, including the paid for ones. Through "My Ovi" you should have a record of what you have paid for, and there is a method to re-download them. But you are a better person than I am if you can actually get a dialog box that allows you to do this. Will I be getting another Nokia phone? Not even as a gift I'm afraid - no wonder Nokia is losing business.

All these problems can be solved by downloading the memory up RAM booster it run continously on the back and u cn set i ur ram is below the percent u set it boosts automatically it is a paid service also, try updating to the latest software, and backup all ur files do a reset 2wks in a month(if u hvn't updated yet). U will avoid the risk of this if the first tin u did when u bought the phone was to reset the phone and format the memory card. Avoid over-multitasking this has a very high capacity browser for crying out loud. Browse with one or two apps running. If u are fed up with the browser, get ucweb symbian, use the web browser for only streaming and flash. These are cmon problems with c-series till u update ur firmware. My c1-01 was lyk dis i download up 2 40 apps in the fone memory if i delete one everything dissapears and still the memory goes low till i updated nd got a memory card i hv hardly suffered those.

Hey I found one solution to it hope will be helpful to you download X-plore a file browser application from nokia ovi store its free you will be able to see system and other folder delete cache and dmgr and other  folder's of unused apps it freed 20 mb for me

i also need some help.... i downloaded some themes in phone memory. and now its giving pop up of phone memory full. but how to delete it?? every time I press any key it says"Not enough momory to perform operation delete some data first" and then after pressing ok it says SYSTEM ERROR and phone goes switched off....

So if i cnt even press any key due to full memory how can I  delete items???

keypad..'' *+3+yes+no '' keep pressing them all for 6-7 seconds ..they say its a hard format..but for me i think its one of the worst solutions when cellphone start to act crazy..its not solving! other files 4mb now and cellphone is trash..

yes its some how working thanks my c driver memory capacity increases from 10MB to 29 MB still there are 16MB use for others file may be these are the nokia software used memory but now its quite ok from 10 mb to 29 mb and backup works perfectly

menu>messaging>options>settings>other>memory in use>swap to E: memory card>do not save the originals. Hope this helps

Hard reset of the phone is not a solution, since the 'Other Files' start collecting and choke up your phone again. Also you loose all your paid apps installed in the phone memory. Just what the **** are these 'Other Files' and how do you clean them up? Why doesn't Nokia do something to prevent their accumulation?
