I'm using nokia c6-00 running in v.11.0.029 type rm-612. I just bought it 10 days ago.

I found that my messaging tone do not works properly. It stops to ring and vibrant in all kind of profile after a certain time period. It also do not shows any message icon in home screen. The only way to know whether I have an unread message is when the notification light is blinking. I had reset to the factory default and update the software again and yet the same thing happens. The only way to restore back the tone is to switch off the phone and on it again. But after the a while, the tone and the home screen icon are gone again.

Could anyone please help me to solve this issue? Your help is kindly appreciated. Thank you.

try deleting all messages from inbox and sent folders .

I moved messages to other folder.

I had only 30 messages.

I read that problem is with messages above 2000.

After reboot SMS notification works good.

I must wait half a day because after every reboot SMS notification worked good.

So we will see

So, problem is back.

I don't have any SMS/MMS.

I have clean folder.

After few days sms notification doesn't work.

No sound, no information on screen.......

I must look into SMS/MMS folder every tim or reboot again.

Any idea?

Have you checked that profile has a message tone set ,you can try hard reset back up your data first ,type in *#7370# security code is 12345

I am also facing the same problem. none of the above solutions worked for me. this is annoying also as i am missing my messages. i am using the latest firmware. i tred some sms blocking applications from ovi store but when i uninstalled them (properly) this problem started, may be it is linked with that.

Yes have tried all the above solutions read a lot of forums also gone through the solutions but nothing worked. A lot of c6-00 users are facing this problem and r living with it. But I don't want to so please provide solution. I guess I have wasted my 13500 bucks on this phone. It has a lot of problems.

what helped me was i reinstalled firmware, hard reseted my phone then transferred all my messages from inbox to folder then the problem was solved.

Lots of C6 users are facing the same problem..I read that even after resetting factory settings or deleting their messages, they are continuing to face the problem...
