The led that is located on the top of the phone is supposed to turn on while the battery is being charged. But I've recently noticed that is doesn't always light on!

It started to fade out since I first installed Nokia Battery monitor from Nokia's store. After having uninstalled it, all came back to normal. But now it simply refuses to turn on - it's completely off, not just faded out.

Is there any solution to this problem? I'd be grateful if someone told me how to fix it (unless it's a hardware issue, but I don't think so). Thank you!

Hello phonehacker, try to charge your phone using the USB cable. See whether the LED is working or not. By the way, when the LED remains in the off state does your phone show the charging notification? You may try to install the battery monitor again and then see whether the LED is turned ON or not. What's the version of the battery monitor that you are using?

When the LED remains turned-off, the phone shows the charging notification. But the problem started right after I had installed Nokia Battery monitor, so that's why I uninstalled it.

By the way, I have to tell you that now it works again (!) - the light notificator is on while the phone is being charged. That's why I said that it didn't always turn on ...

That's something I love about Nokia phones - they solve their own problems themselves

Again, it's been almost a month since the led stopped working. Yesterday I updated to Belle but this did not help at all. (Just to let you know about what is going on with this issue).
