I assume that this error occurs on my C7 because Wellness Diary Beta is running on the background. I came up with this thought for when i terminate Wellness Diary, camera works normally without errors! So, bear that in mind.

my c7 is on the way and i will remember that but in mean time should leave feedback at beta labs about it so they can take care in future wellness update

As I said my C7 has noumerous problems (out of the box from 1st day !!!) one of them is camera related . In camera preview all is working well but when I take a shot some areas of the picture are saved as blank . this is not happening to all photos . its about 1/4 of photoes shoot and its too annoying . In my case phone restarts at almost any point (even when browsing settings) so it restarted some times while in camera

You had better take the phone where you bought it from and ask for a replacement.

I already did that ! there is no other way but to hard reset in order to find if its a program causing trouble or your hardware malfuntioning

Same with my new E7.... You found the culprit correctly! is there any way out for this? I use Wellness dairy....

Same problem here (C7-00, Symbian 3 'Anna'), after closing WD my camera works fine. Strange ....

and click on 'i have this bug too', so that the WD development team has a reason to look into that. Currently there are only 2 people reporting the bug.

when i open the camera it says "Unexpected error occured. Restart phone" . i took the phone to Nokia Care they said it will take 3 days to solve the problem. when i asked after 3 days now they are saying phone need to send to the factory (Delhi) for checking the componet and will take another 7 working days to know the status.

First of all, did you update to Symbian Anna (PR2.0)?

Did you try reformating your phone? Reformat - Dial *#7370# and enter lock code. This will delete all your data except from your memory card.

please i hav same problem with nokia c7, i try all i could, format, hard reset even updated the phone nokia belle refresh but prove abortive. please help

i too hav the same problem, hav been using e72 for 2 yrs now and suddenly this camera problem comes out of the blue.i hav no new apps like wd or so.
Do help us as the camera is of no use now......

Have you tried the following steps:

1. Restore factory settings --> Go to Settings > Ctrl. panel > Settings > General > Factory settings
2. Update or re-install software --> See the steps here
3. Visit Nokia Care if the issue still persists

I didn't have the Wellness Diary installed, but I changed the Video Camera Memory In Use setting from Mass Memory to SD card and then it worked!
