Hello there,
I set up a POP3 mail-account (called inbox) on my C7.
Everything used to work just fine.
But since yesterday, I can't sync anymore. I am not aware of any changes on my part.
I'm getting this message:
Account inbox[11] not found. Delete the account and add it again
(that's what it would translate to)
All the old mails are still there and can be read.
The mailserver is available and its details have not changed.
Is there anything I could do (besides removing the account from the phone and setting it up again)?
Unfortunately, it seems settings for the mail-server cannot be changed when the account is already configured. In the settings for the account, I can change my name, signature etc. but the server settings are not available.

Delete all your mail accounts on your C7.
Then set them up again one by one, but when asked during the installation process to accept the agreement choose "decline"; and confirm that you indeed want to decline.
Then you proceed setting up your account. This will be done without the Nokia server being involved, just as setting up an email account on any computer.
Open "Mailbox settings", select "advanced mailbox settings", and there you have all the options for configuring your account.
Should work flawlessly after that.
At least it did on my C7 after having experienced the same kind of problems you were describing.

I think I am having the same problem. I dont get any error message I dont seem to be receiving my emails. I have been on webmail via laptop so know have new emails. I went to my emails and pressed syncronise, the blue and green circle flashes up for a few seconds but then disappears. Can anyone help, Thanks

i have the same problem here... no settings have been changed yet the synchronization with exchanged server is not succesful or most often no changes and no notice about what is taking places.. the rounded arrows circulates and again nothing happens ...

C7 DELETES EMAILS FROM SERVER
Hi, just got a new C7 and having similar problem. When I delete an email it gets deleted from the server. If I move the email back from "deleted" folder to "inbox" it re-appears on the server (BT Yahoo) I set up mailbox on the phone simply using the wizard by just clicking on the "btinternet" icon. I've read the posts but when I look in Mail Settings there is no "advanced settings" I have heard it needs to be using POP protocol but unlike my PC I can't find any way of finding this on the phone. On my PC and laptop there's an option that says "leave copy on server" but can't find anything similar on the phone, or in the 98 page user guide I've downloaded. Please help, it's driving me nuts! Today that message '(email@Hidden.com) (38) account not found. Delete account and add it again' on my N8, it has been working for about a month or so without a problem.
I followed your suggestion and it it working again. With the "Decline" I now can see all the settting after set-up. (e.g Incoming/Outgoing Mail servers) Under the other method they didn't show.

I have also this problem with mail being deleted from the exchange server after it was processed by my Nokia c7. But when I deleted the mail boxes I don't get the option to decline anything. You have any additional tips on this?

Hi,
This is Mayur Shah. I've nokia C7 phone. I have the same issue. My nokia shows rotating arrow button. But mails doesn't synchronize.

hi but HOW do you delete your c7 mail account that is set up in the firsst place?
i cant delete it anywhere!
