I have a C7-00 connected to an Ele USB DAC via the OTG USB port. The DAC audio output then connects to my car stereo aux in. The DAC is bus powered only, getting its power from the OTG port.

It would be useful if I could power the phone and DAC from an external 5V power source, connected into the USB +5v line, so I don't have to have data and power connections to the phone every time.

I know the phone will charge via a normal USB cable, but is this also true in OTG mode?

I could try it, but I don't want to blow the phone up!
