Chat services and turn on/off issues in Nokia C3-00

So I got two issues on my C3-00 phone:

-First, is about the Chat services. There are four of them included: Yahoo, Ovi, Google Talk, and Hotmail. The other services work well like it should, except the Yahoo. I mostly use the Yahoo Chat service, and recently I add a Status (the one that say you're either busy, available or invisible). So I already have four of the status, and add another one is five. But the two status I add, when click on give me problems. The messenger screen suddenly become unresponsive, except you can go to the options and the Hide button. When you hide it and click on Chat again, a white screen appear (still, you can use the options) like the first picture I upload. The second picture is when I click the option and then cancel, and the screen look like it's unresponsive. I've check that if you click on the provide status (available, invisible, or busy), the messenger work again. But if you click on the two status I made, the screen stop working. So is there ways to fix this? I've restart the phones, but it still there. Also, is there any ways to delete those two status I made?

-This problem is when the phonne automatically turn off, like it crashed. When turn on, it said "Check operator message". Where do you find these messages?

Thank you for any answers.

Re: Chat services and turn on/off issues in Nokia C3-00

You can do the restore factory settings. To do this, go to Settings > Restore factory settings > Settings only > Enter the security code. The default code is 12345 unless changed.

You can also re-install or update the software to be able to reset or refresh the system of the phone using the Nokia Suite. It's also not possible to delete those status unless you've updated or re-install the software.

You can download the Nokia Suite from this link: www.nokia.com/nokiasuite

Follow the steps below to back up your files:

  1. Connect the phone you want to back up to your computer with a USB cable. On your phone, select Nokia Suite (or PC Suite) and then select OK.

  2. In Nokia Suite, click Tools then Backup. Nokia Suite shows you a list of the content types that you can back up and prepares a list of information that can be backed up.

  3. Select the information that you want to back up. If you want to change where the backup file is saved, click Browse and choose another location. If you have a lot of music, photos or videos on your phone, including them in the backup will cause the backup process to be slower.

  4. Click Start to begin backing up. Do not disconnect or switch off your phone during the backup. If you need to stop the backup, click Stop. Nokia Suite will reach a safe stop point and will then stop the backup.

  5. Click Finish to close the window after the backup is complete.

To update your phone software, you can follow the steps below:

  1. In Nokia Suite, select Tools then Software updates. If an update is available for your phone, you can see it here along with any other updates that are available.

  2. Click Install or Re-install to start the installation. During the installation, Nokia Suite takes you through the following steps:

  • Get started

  • Back up (recommended)

  • Install

  • Restore (optional)

  • Finish

Please do not disconnect your phone until the installation is completely finished. Doing so might cause damage to your phone or result in its contents being lost.

If the above steps didn't work, it's best to have it checked with the repair facility. Check it here if your phone is still under warranty: http://www.nokia.com/us-en/support/troubleshooting/warranty-check/

Hope this helps. :smileyhappy:
