I have recently updated my nokia c7 from symbian Anna to symbian belle. The new OS runs fine, but some of the applications I had downloaded while I was using Anna were deleted. Please note that I have backed up my data before updating, on the computer, but I do not know how to restore it on the phone.

if you know how to get back my applications please help me.

From backup file you can restore it.Click on the backup and then select restore.

Connect your phone to Nokia suite and once its ready. Go to the back up and restore option from the options menu in the Nokia suite. It should be in one of the drop down menus on the top left corner. Click on the option and it'll take you to the restore page of Nokia suite. You'll have an option to select the back up file that you want to restore. Browse through and select the back up file that you want to restore from the folder where you've stored all your back ups. If you want to restore the back up that was taken while updating the firmware to belle, the back up file should have belle in the file name. Select it and then select what and all you want to restore from that file like photos and videos, applications and settings? Documents etc. If you want to restore all, check all the boxes (which is not recommended by most) and start the restore process. Take care that you do not fiddle with your mobile during the restore process or your system doesn't turn off. All the best...

I really appreciate your response, but when I restore my data, the lost applications do not come back.

Then you'll have to reinstall them again as all applications will not respond to a restoration and may not be restored.
