Hello Everyone,

I have a problem in my nokia c5-00 phone it cannot setup mail. i have tried using GMAIL, OVI, HOTMAIL, YAHOOMAIL, OUTLOOK still not working.

These are the steps:

Menu->Applications->Email->New Mailbox->Start.

I choose OVI Mail:

I've prompted "opening a secure connection. ... Continue?" -> Yes-> 

New page shown "Get your free you@ovi.com.... Sign Up Now or Sign In"

-> I choose "Sign In" -> I've entered my login credential -> click NEXT->  new page shown

"Select Next to set up your mailbox.." -> click Next -> Saving Settings... 

Then after that it shows up again the lists of E-MAILS: OVI, YAHOO, GMAIL...

Then nothing happens..

Does anyone has this solution?

how do you put the phone in offline profile ?

press th red button,, it has option for offline,, or when it asks for internet conn. or access points just press cancel..

it helped create th account but,,now when i try again after couple of hours, to connect its not connecting,,its not syncing with th mail account..

To configure IMAP for your Symbian S60 device, just follow these steps:

1. Enable IMAP in your Gmail settings.
2. Select 'Messaging' > 'Options' > 'Settings' > 'E-mail' > 'Mailboxes.'
3. If you have never set up email on your phone before, select 'Yes' to define a new mailbox. If you already have other mailboxes, select 'Options' and then 'New mailbox.'
4. Select 'Start' to begin the setup wizard.
5. Select 'IMAP4' and then 'Next.'
6. Enter your full email address (including '@gmail.com') as the email address and select 'Next.' Google Apps users, enter your full address in the format 'username@your_domain.com.'
7. Enter 'imap.gmail.com' as the incoming mail server and select 'Next.'
8. Enter 'smtp.gmail.com' as the outgoing mail server and select 'Next.'
9. Select the appropriate access point and then 'Next.'
10. Enter a descriptive name for the email account mailbox name.
11. Once your mailbox is set up, select it from the email mailbox settings screen.
12. Select 'Connection settings' > 'Incoming e-mail.'
13. Enter your address (including '@gmail.com' or '@your_domain.com') and password.
14. Select 'SSL/TLS' for your security (ports) and define your port as '993.'
15. Select 'Back.'
16. Select 'Outgoing e-mail.'
17. Enter your email address (including '@gmail.com' or '@your_domain.com') and password.
18. Select 'StartTLS' for your security (ports) and define your port as '587.'
19. Select 'Back' and change any other settings according to your preferences.
20. Check our recommended client settings, and adjust your client's settings as needed.

Hi all, i did try the above steps, created my gmail account in offline profile. But still i dont see any emails in my inbox, when i open the account, it just has green circle and thats it no emails. after some time the green circle changes to red circle with X mark in middle.
Help please

Press the "CALL END" button..

the "RED" color button on the right side of keypad..

Select"Offline" from there..

dear nokia users please help,i bought my nokia c5-00 in may 2011 & have managed to set up my gmail email account & it's ok.the problem comes when i attempt to login & use my email.it doesn't want to log me in,it gives me a message that reads "Unable to login.Try again".i've tried so many times but to no avail even when i create a new acc using ovi or yahoo i get the same message.what could be the problem?please help.

hey i found ....d solution!actually my email ws workin pretty well!bt due to memory problem i had to go 4 master reset!!and then it ws nt working,then dis discussion helped me out...hop it will u people too...
Go to settings,there is icon sw updates ie software updates,if u hav for email update it,then switch off ur fone and restart it...and then open an account...hop it wil work....plz du reply if it worked...best of luck

I can't able to cofigure gmail im my C5-00 mobile. Could you pls help me out. I have a doubt, what is google apps user and clarify what to mention in full email address like '@your_domain.com'
