another bug of the C6 i just noticed is the absolute non-linear battery status info!
YES that is a bug since nowadays those things should not happen anymore!
this is not a hardware problem but real unprofessional software!!!
guys i am damn close to give up faith in that phone!!!
there are so many bugs that make that phone unuseful.
nokia would have to spend so much time to fix that all that it is unrealistic to happen in near future.
i really wonder what the responsible managers are planing, or wether they got informed about the problems at all!?!?!?

Hiiiiiiii,
someone got the solution for hanging problem of Nokia C6 and its display quality.
Is backend development team is working on same to resolve the problem.
I am sure its any manufacturing issue and the company resolve the issue of SOLUTION by upcoming festive season.

Do not know if it matters, but since Friday I've switched the phone without a SIM card. To my surprise the phone did not hang even once!
So I think the problem lies in the device and not in the software.

It seems like i'm the only one with these issues from italy... BTW, before buying this phone I checked many italian forums and no major issues came out so I think that this problem could be realted to hardware or maybe software compatibily with different hardware.
I already tried the Java 2.1 Beta but nothing changed. I'm running 11.0.029, personal. version 11.0.029.C01.01 lenguage 08.
In my case the phone is almost "acceptable" but I can't get to my "photo" section, white screen of death here.

This Nokia don'y even care for the huge amount we pay them.How can they mention about weekend.I spent nights out fixing the bugs for my customers. If this is how Nokia works I hope they hire me for fixing Bugs.

Well, don't shoot the messenger: I'm not part of the teams who are developing the fix and I act only as interface towards you. As I'm the only one who's related at least in some way to this issue and posting on these forums, I just wanted you to know that there won't be any updates during weekend which doesn't mean that no one is not working with the issue.

Wondering how much big problem is with our c6 phone, nokia experts taking too much time finding bugs. I think they are waiting if some one of us find a solution.
When I informed nokia that no c6-00 software update available at our Kharagpur, India nokia care center they advised me to visit another care center.
Like us any care centers are also checking nokia website for software update. Wondering in which nokia care center the special software update is available.
I took my phone at hanged posiion to that care center, showed them the entire printout of this discussion, still they are saying they need my phone for 3-4 days to observe the problem.
We did a great mistake buying nokia product, now we need to roam one care center to another throughout the country.
One new thing, I was not able use the phone for calling so I thought lets listen music. When I put the ear plug, the phone hanged. What a piece of s**t.
My phone's back cover became very loose.My phone is also look like second hand phone.
LIKE THEIR BL-5C BATTERY NOKIA MUST REPLACE OUR C6-00 HANDSET WITH A NEW ONE.

Well, then they do. I'm still here voluntarily and no one is forcing me to participate, so I do hope that you would act as civilized as I'm expected to. pdap's message on previous page hit the nail: It doesn't really help me or the investigation if my PM inbox (or these forums) are filled with nonsense / random rants / personal insults or even threats.
This is the best I can do (keep you informed on some level of what is happening) and that's something you and I have to live with. I'm pushing the limits of my NDA already and this is as far as I can go without risking some personal consequences. Sometimes I think that it might be easiest for me personally to simply just stop posting, but it doesn't really serve you or me in a good way.

Phone bought in Poland without SIMlock and freeze with SiM present or not.
So my friend from Poland maybe your phone doesn`t freeze without sim, but in my opinion it`s only because of ver of software.
NOKIA very disapp. me with this model. YOU RELEASE phone without any TESTs?
I thought that only disadvantage of this really good proomising phone will be weight but I have been confused...
So I waste my time buying this yesterday... After unboxing during 2 hours of work I must remove and insert battery about 5 times!
I am going to shop today to return this **bleep** and take my money back.
Very dissapointed user of C6
PS. NOKIA do something with this PHONE!! Don`t discredit yourself!!!!!

This is a request. Please don't get irritated, by our posts. At least you are there to answer our posts and keep us updated. Please consider the situation of a person who has bought a cell phone after so much waiting, and in return, his/her expectations gets shattered with such a product from such a reputed company. We know that developers @ Nokia are working hardly to sort out the problem soon. Please be there, and keep us informed about the latest happenings. Thanks!

I am too having the same kind of frustration like others after buying C6 after waiting for so long. But it is not right to comment on some one who is helping out of his own will. After all it is not his responsibility or his fault. If you want to shout at some one... Walk into the shop where you purchased this mobile... I am going to do the same. ![]()

Same problem here. I bought the mobile phone from Greece a week ago and the "dead black screen" came up from the very beginning. I just hope that nokia will solve that issue as soon as possible

did you notice that when clicking on the menue software actualization the phone does not always connect to the internet?
that means the software ignores the user request and only *really* looks for available actualizations when it thinks it could be time to do so.
