Hi all,

I've a severe problem with my Nokia C7 phone.

The phone is unresponsive to any touch on the touchscreen.

I tried to power off the phone, extract the battery, but when I try to power on, It shows the PIN request screen, but I can't introduce any code because the screen keyboard is not working.

I tried to remove the SIM card, and power on the phone. Now it shows the home screen, but the display is again unresponsive. The physical buttons works for a while, but after a few minutes the phone hangs permanently. The only way to shut off the phone is removing the battery

Is this a known problem?

If possible back up your data,if you have not done so already.
remove the memory card,now hold down the menu key for 8 seconds you will feel the phone vibrate.

if this fails do this as a last resort you may loose ovi store and some apps
hold the volume key down then the camera key and the menu key whilst these 3 keys are held down now hit the power on key dont let go until you see the nokai logo...

I tried the hard reset procedure. The phone now requests for language selecton at startup, but the touchscreen is still not working at all.

The only operation I can do now is power off.

Another hint?

try to reinstall ur software by using NSU or OVI suit

Try reinstalling your firmware... As a last resort, take it to Nokia care...

unresponsive touch screen may be due to cold or wet fingers or may be due to increased roughness of the screen protection film due to frequent usage and scratches. Looking at your post, cold fingers can be ruled out. Try changing the screen guard film. If that too doesn't help, then firmware reinstall or Nokia care is your last resort.

Thank you very much blitzkid. my mobile fallen in water and i am very worry about my mobile i Sean your suggestion and i removed my screen card (screen cover) my touchscreen started working now my mobile is back love you ........ :-) thank you very much..... but i am not getting signal :-s plz help me

Does the phone work normally? Or have you noticed any heating up?

My phones touch screen has become unresponsive... It also heats up now when i switch it on... Any solutions?

I tried all the above and possible solutions, I re install it again but it doesn't work.
