I UNTHOUTHFULLY DOWNLOADED ANOTHER ANTI VIRUS(KASPERSKY 9) ON MY WIFE'S C6, THIS HAS CAUSED THE PHONE TO MALFUNCTION AND HANG, I'VE TRIED ALL RESET TECHNIQUES I KNOW TO NO AVAIL.PLS HELP ANYONE!!

Which resets have you tried when you say all? Have you tried *#7370# or the 3 finger salute?

I've tried to used that code but because of the conflict between the software the phone hangs before i can complete the process*#7370#, i've also tried the HARD RESET YET NOTHING seems to work.

Are you sure you tried the correct procedure for the hard reset. If you have the C6-00 it should be press and hold the following keys, shift + space + delete and turn the phone on at the same time. Hold the the three keys until you see the NOKIA logo. The phone should ask you for location etc just like the first day you started it up.

If this doesn't work then you might want to consider having it checked out at a Nokia Care Point.

I've not tried that, ok! I just did but same old reaction. I guess i haven't got that many options. Thanks for the support cjlim.

It is a bit fiddly. Are you sure you did it right? Were you are to set location and time etc? If not then try again. There is no reason why a had reset wouldn't solve this, since it is a software issue.

I'll have to keep trying, maybe i haven't got the keys right. Will get back to you on the progress made.

Remember you have to press and hold the first 3 keys before powering it on with the power buttoin with the first 3 keys held until the handshake appears.
