PushMail is always staying connected to Internet.

Recently I activated my PushMail in nokia C3. As soon as I did it, my mobile started showing 'E' symbol always at the top which we generally get while using Internet Data. I dont want it to be in that way as it consumes a lot of battery charge.

- i.e., I want my pish mail to show only when ever I request it and not automatically but I dont find any option to select in that way.

how to solve this issue ?

One answer. Don't use push mail, because that's what push mail is, a program that stays always connected to the internet so all mails are pushed immediately to your phone. Deactivating it and converting it to pull mail, you would have to alter sync settings to make it never sync at all.
