Hi,

I have bought my new nokia C6-00.I bought it with nervous of Hanging problem.

But fortunately it doesn't facing that problem(may be its resolved by nokia with the help of PPL like YOU(Forum and Group Discussion Personals) Thanks Those who contributed to rectify this hanging problem).

But now I'm disappointed with  some more problems of this device.

1.It doesn't playing some of the mp4 videos too(only audio coming) .

2.it doesn't playing Wmv files too.

3.it doesn't have the USB charging(even C5-00 having it).

Most disappointed failure is

4.In built GPS failure to locate my position.

5.Calling Connection Error.

6.E-mail Re-sync problem.

I have used maps application on C6-00.

I just search for finding my position via in built GPS but its says searching searching.....

I couldn't locate my position via in-built GPS of C6-00.

At  the same place where I have tried to find my position in C6-00, I used nokia C5-00 of my friends its shows its location without any connectivity (in-built GPS).

So I thought my antenna sensitivity may be less than C5-00 So I used to Go for Clear ENV where there are no obstacles to Block GPS signals.

Even there my device is searching for My position. I just done this with patience.

I just kept the mobile for a 15 min Even after 15 min  my device is Searching for its Position via in-built GPS, HOW DUTY CONSIOUS MY C6-00

This is the trouble I'm Facing You might have faced the same and scolded the operator for that time.

While calling via my Nokia C6-00 Call get connected correctly.

But some time the failure notice coming like Connection ERROR.

First I used to think of operator,Later I realized this is due to Nokia C6-00.

if I'm calling Some 10 PPL I'm getting this connection failure at least 4 times.

and not even this some time this connection failure comes for incoming calls after attending the call.This msg comes up and call get dis connected.

5 of friends realized that they couldn't hear my voice most of the time if call from my nokia C6-00. But I can hear their voice So I just disconnect the call then Re-dial them (fortunately its Clear for the Second time )

I couldn't blame this as operator Mistake Bcoz my operator is reliable n/w.

 (Connection ERRROR MSG && Worst Call Quality )

This is the E-mail Sync problem I faced.

I used my nokia C6-00 for Yahoo mail id.

I just created new mail box.

I just though to reduce the data rate of continuously checking the server so I used the option to sync at the intervals once a Day at 12-00 - 3-00p.m

But if doing so the sync gets failed.

and Error msg comes like Synchronization Failed.

But the mail box works if I used 24x7 sync.

But this costs me more as the Device is Continuously Checking the server for msgs.

and it will ruins my charge.

Nokia Has to come with the Update for this Failure.

I think they can give update for Connection ERROR , Call quality and E-mail Sync.

I don't think They can give  update for GPS Failure.

any way  if Nokia at least  Comes with this update i will try to stick with nokia.

If not.

Nokia will PAY for it by missing few customers.

(me and my friends those who believe on my suggetions)

already Nokia  have lost the reliability as the GPS doesn't works.

Why advertising like

its having in-built GPS,

Just advertise as GPS is there and put *

under neath the guide mention  

*-only network based and Assisted GPS

Who Asked you abt in-built GPS,

JUST FOR SALES AND FOOLING PPLS Some one PUT CASE AND CLAIM FOR THE FAILURE>

at least device is functioning properly or otherwise i will be thrown from my HOME for such a wastage of Money 13,500Rupees,

4.In built GPS failure to locate my position.

This GPS problem is look like Sensitivity of C6-00,
If we use it in very clear Environment it Works,
But this much low sensitvity will not help for Traveling on Street,
and if we use Assisted GPS it says only the Tower location as Your Location,.

But the in-built GPS of C6-00 Works Fine but with very low sensitivity,

I am using C6-00 for the past 6 months and agree with all the problems that dumpc6 have mentioned.

Nokia support, pls come up with a solution for it, else I will be left wid no other option than dumping it.

I have the same problem with built-in GPS on my C6-00. Nokia Support, please help us!

GPS receiver of your phone is not so powerful. So it can detect only when u are outside and in open area.
Try creating maikbox through 'other' option, not through the gmail, yahoo.... options.
All video files may not support in your device. You will be asked to convert while copying videos from pc through nokia suit mode.

the built in GPS and the assisted GPS were working great since I bought the phone 2 years back. It worked great with Google maps and the inbuilt compass and odometer were working great. But since the last few months, I have noticed that the Assisted GPS was not working even on an open area. First I thought it was all for bad weather but now there is no weather issue. Is there any solution? Well what I did a few months ago is that I have deleted some certificates from settings>phone>phone management>security>certificate management. And had problem in installing many apps such as skype which could not be installed untill I opened the skype website from the browser and accepted the certificate request. Will reinstalling the phone software solve this problem??
