I bought c2-03, there is no map application in this phone as claimed "preinstalled nokia maps". how to enable map? And please dont reply by saying "contact your near dealers"!

You need to pair it to an external bluetooth receiver. In some cases the maps app only appears after doing so.

Here is some infromation from the user guide:

Your phone comes with the Maps application, and may have a memory card with
preloaded maps for your country. Insert the memory card into the phone before using
Maps.
You can only use Maps when using the SIM card in the internal SIM card holder.
Select Menu > Maps.
You can browse maps of different cities in your country. You can also:
• View your current location
• Plan a route to a nearby place
• Search for a place or specific address, and save it
• Send your location or a place to a friend in a text message
When you browse to an area which is not covered by the maps already downloaded on
the memory card, a map for the area is automatically downloaded through the internet.
Downloading maps may involve transmission of large amounts of data through your
service provider's network. For information about data transmission charges, contact
your service provider.
You can also use the Nokia Ovi Suite application to download maps. To download and
install Nokia Ovi Suite on your compatible computer, go to www.ovi.com.
Network access may be required to find your current location. You may be prompted to
select an internet access point.
Some services may not be available in all countries, and may be provided only in selected
languages.
Contents of digital maps may sometimes be inaccurate and incomplete. Never rely solely
on the content or the service for essential communications, such as in emergencies

u r again misleading us. There is no menu>maps item in the menu.. do u understand?? Nokia sucks..

Please believe me there is no any misleading.

I am very much suprised to hear that you have no Menu > Maps  option on your C2-03 phone.

Are you really sure?

Maybe it is best you visit nearest Nokia Care Point in your area.

I hope that there is also new sw available in the Nokia Care Point. They will update your phone and see the result in the place.

If it still continues,please let me know.

HERE ARE THE 5 UPDATES WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE FOR NOKIA C2-03 FIRMWARE UPGRADE:

1 - OPTION TO DISABLE AUTO LOCK FEATURE.

2 - OPTION TO ORGANIZE ORDER OF ICONS ON GRID MENU SO WE CAN HAVE DIRECT ACCESS TO MUSIC AND PHOTOS WHICH WE USE MOST OF THE TIME.

3 - CONVERT OVI STORE AND COMMUNITIES APPLICATIONS INTO BOOKMARKS IN ORDER TO SAVE MUCH NEEDED DEVICE MEMORY OR THE OPTION TO UNINSTALL OR MOVE THEM TO MEMORY CARD.

4 - OPTION FOR GRID MENU VIEW ON GALLERY INSTEAD OF JUST LIST. SCROLLING ITEMS ON LIST VIEW CONSUMES MUCH TIME TO ACCESS FILES SPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A LOT OT OF FILES SUCH AS PHOTOS AND SONGS.

5 - OPTIONS TO UNINSTALL OR DELETE ALL APPLICATIONS, GAMES AND GALLERY FILES SAVED ON DEVICE MEMORY OR MOVE THEM ALL TO MEMORY CARD.

PLEASE DON'T IGNORE OUR SUGGESTIONS.
GIVE US AN ASSURANCE THAT WE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE EVERYTIME WE BUY NOKIA BY RESOLVING THE ISSUES OF NOKIA C2-03.

-Insert a new memory card into your phone
-Connect your device to a PC 
-Use the Nokia Suite to copy selected map data to your new memory card.

C2-03 comes with maps application preinstalled. If your phone does not have the icon, I suspect the device has been tampered with. Contact your dealer and ask him to show you another piece and check it with your device.

Yep u r correct. I brought nokia C2-03 but there is no pre-installed map apps on it.....

You are saying to download Maps from Nokia Suit. But when I do so it says

CAN'T FIND MAPS ON YOUR PHONE

There's a problem with opening the map folder on your phone.

To fix this problem disconnect your phone and open the maps app on your phone.

Let Maps run for a while to let it reset itself,then close Maps and reconnect your phone..

How can i open map when there is no Maps app in the menu???

Plz help us and don't say that "VISIT YOUR NEAREST NOKIA CARE CENTRE"
