Hi all,

I recently brought a 9300i, and couldn't quite believe that you can't sync outlook notes with the phone notes !

Does anyone know if a work-a-round is possible, or if nokia are sorting a patch for this ?

umm, but you can sync notes - there is even an option on the sync setup screen for it...

OK, OK, I must be being a little slow here, but I'm using PS Suite 6.80.21

The notes option on the sync settings is just blanked (greyed) out so no notes options available. Are we saying that it should be selectable ?

What would cause mine to be greyed ? How do I fix it - A reinstall of PC Suite, then run the updates ?

You can't sync notes from Outlook to your 9300i because it doesn't use the same notes application that the other phones use to synchronise. The only way to do this using PC Suite would be to copy the text of the note into a document and use the file manager to move the document onto the communicator. Then you can open the document instead.

9300i has sync issues with PC suite and outlook but she is quite smooth while using syncML. I have an account on a free online backup service zyb.com, it works on syncML. The whole process of transferring 943 contacts and calendar entries took less than 5 minutes. I think it’s a compatibility issue otherwise 9300i is the king.

i fail to see the sense in leaving all your contacts on someone elses webserver when pc suite works perfectly fine.

there is absolutley no mention of security there - who will have access to the contacts once they are there?

Jep, rufao is right to be concerned, these zyb.com guys seem to going around in all mobile forums advertising their service and who knows who they are?
