Can I use my E71 as a tethering device?

Hello all, I have an unlocked E71 which does not conform to the 3G bands in the US - I bought the E71 in Hong Kong. Disappointment aside, I always have a laptop and an ipod touch with me. Even my E71 cannot access the internet, can I use it as a mobile hotspot and link my devices to it?

Free JoikuSpot from Ovi store has the ability to share GPRS connection (2G, 3G, or HSDPA) to 1 device while the Premium edition can use multiple device connection.
